What is your best choice for a dog house? Many choose cedar insulated dog houses. The insulation will keep your pet comfortable in hot and cold weather. It gives your pet the best protection from heat, rain, wind or snow. The cedar wood protects against parasites that prey on wood. It naturally repels annoying insects.
Setting up your doghouse should take only a few minutes but making sure that it is sanitary and comfortable will be a regular chore. Dog houses should be cleaned at least once a month; more often if you live in extreme weather locations. A pair of rubber gloves will be your best friend in the clean-up. Remove all toys, bedding, eating and drinking implements. Wash them with soap and water and let dry. Sweep out all signs of feces from inside the dog house. Be sure to extend the clean-up around the area. Wash the house with soap and water. Keep your dog from occupying the house until it dries out completely.
